Becoming a Member of Sigma Theta Tau International

We are always looking for people interested in joining our organization.

How do I become a member of STTI?

An Invitation to join the Organization is extended to various Nursing participants. To be eligible, the following criteria must be met:
a.Undergraduates must have completed one-half of the nursing curriculum
b. At least a 3.0 GPA(based on a 4.0 scale)
c. Rank in the upper 35% of their graduating class
d. Meet the expectation of academic integrity
e. Obtain two endorsements

MEMBERSHIP

Sigma Theta Tau members are nurses who have demonstrated personal commitment to nursing excellence. Better health care.Healthier patients. Smarter nurses. Membership is more that an academic destination; it's a dynamic partnership to be integrated and renewed throughout your career.

Master's Degree Students must have:

a. Completed one-quarter of the Nursing curriculum
b. Maintain a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 Scale)

Doctoral Students must have:

a. Completed one-quarter of the Nursng curriculum
b. At least a GPA of 3.75(based on a 4.0 scale)

Nurse leaders / Nursing professionals must:

a. Be a Registered Nurse
b. Hold at least a baccalaureate degree in Nursing or other field
c. Have demonstrated marked achievement in Nursing education, practice, research, administration or publication.
