The Induction Ceremony

At New Jersey City University, normally in the Spring of every year, the Kappa Eta Induction Ceremony is celebrated.
It usually takes place off campus, and all Inductees, their families & friends, Nursing Faculty, Administrative Staff, and all members of Sigma Theta Tau are invited to celebrate the occasion.A guest speaker is invited as well.

The Nursing Faculty help to determine which Students have met the criteria for Eligibility, and review the GPA status of eligible students usually in December / January. Once this is determined, the listing is reviewed by the Kappa Eta Board of Directors and letters are then sent to eligible students informing them of their eligibility.

The eligible students are then required to produce two letters of reference(Faculty & usually a Sigma member)and return these letters to the Department of Nursing.
These are again reviewed and the additional Induction process takes place. Invitations are mailed to Inductees for completion and the evening is planned.

This Sunday morning is a special tribute to those Nursing students who have achieved excellence in their studies. It is an honor to be selected into this prestigious Honor Soviety.
